The Singapore Magic Library is a local personal library run by me, Harapan Ong. Every book in this library comes from my personal collection of magic books at home. We currently have almost 500 books in our catalogue for you to borrow from.
I set up this library with three aims for the Singapore magic community:
1. To provide free and easy access to magic books.
2. To promote the love for reading magic books.
3. To raise the standards of scholarship for magic.
To become a member of the Singapore Magic Library and start borrowing books for free,
1. Sign up for a free account on librarika.com.
2. Request Member Access for sgmagiclibrary.librarika.com, and wait.
3. Once approved, you should now be able to browse our catalogue and start requesting to borrow books!
After you have sent in your book request, please drop me a WhatsApp text at 91768811 or email me at harapanong@gmail.com to arrange timing and day to pick up your book.
Borrowing books from the Singapore Magic Library is free, on one simple condition - you have to personally come down to my house to both collect the book and to return the book after you are done with it. As a general rule, I will not entertain requests to meet you somewhere else outside to pass you the book.
Rules of the library:
1. Borrowing / returning of books must happen at my (Harapan's) house.
2. Please be considerate and careful when handling the books you have borrowed. These books are from my personal collection, and most of them are expensive, with some being rare or irreplaceable.
3. I reserve the right to charge members for any damages to the books caused by them.
4. The standard duration for borrowing a book will be 2 weeks. If you need a longer time, please let me know. Otherwise, please return the books on time.
In short, as long as you make the effort to come down to my house to borrow my books, handle them gently and carefully without damaging them, and return them back to me on time, you can get to read any of my magic books - for free!
